Wireless Data Communications

Use Wireless Machine to Machine (M2M) communications for:

  • Eliminating wiring costs
  • Portable equipment
  • Remote control

Shown above is an XBee radio inside one of the portable wireless boxes used to manage group assignment and timing during the Mt. Laurel Living Nativity. Productive Technology developed the radio infrastructure used by all the boxes, and also the user interface used by the timing specific and sanctuary capacity management boxes. The XBee radios use the ZigBee protocol.

Wireless Example

The portable boxes show above allow Nativity hostesses let the A/V technicians know which groups have entered the sanctuary. The techs already know which groups have left the sanctuary. This allows them to calculate the number of people in the sanctuary and which groups have seen the Creation scene. The techs simply set the highest group letter that will fit on their box and it “tells” the other boxes.
